Pushing 50: A Distant Memory

It saddens me that soon my brain will not be able to remember many things. It is awfully scary to know that the things that were once very dear and profoundly close to me will become only fractions and pieces of strange information. How bad will it get? The other day  my son mentioned about his friend's parents and their short visits over to our old house. And i went blank and blinking. Who? What short visits?! No matter how hard i tried searching and going through all the files in my memory bank, i found NOTHING. Obviously that particular file is corrupted and i suspected there are plenty more where that come from! Sigh...i'm still wondering just how bad can it get?
Will i even forget about YOU?

Pushing 50: An end is just another new beginning

My FB relationship status would look something like this: SueSenahAnderson went from being "in a relationship" to "single." Yeah, come to think of it FB relationship status is a 'for-all-to-see' diary. Not  quite a private journal i must say. (No...i don't update my FB relationship status at all. Too many questions and too many Nosey Parkers if you know what i mean) And now my diary says that i'm back to single again and yes, it does hurt. We had our fair shares of the good times, the laughter, the stupid crazy jokes only we both understood and also the ugly fights and the juvenile 'It's your fault' finger-pointing.  Yeah, we certainly had them all. But things just didn't work out as we mortals planned them. Finally we  decided it's best to go separate ways. There are things in life you don't try to question or analyze but simply accept. Perhaps it's just not my battle. I admitted defeat gracefully and move on with only good memories packed well in my heart.
No sorries. No regrets.

Pushing 50: Rainbow

I believe that once we put our heart and soul into doing something, we are able to move mountains. Determination is one strong element  within us but sadly enough, more often than not we underestimated its powers. When our feathers got ruffled up and things got pretty nasty, we gave in. Instead of  staying focus on our goals and seeing things to the bitter end, we gave up half way through.Too fast, too soon. "I can't take the pressure." Excuse. "I'm not cut out for this," another excuse. "It's choking me, I can't breathe" Endless excuses one after another. We all had been down that road much too often and too many dreams left broken. The next time when we get to the end of the rope, let's just tie a  knot and hang on to it. Let's sit through the storm and determine not to let go.
We all know that there will always be a rainbow after the rain.

Pushing 50: A Learning Process

Life is an endless series of a learning process. It doesn't stop educating you and your classes certainly haven't ended even when have reached the big five zero. Observe. Be open to building criticisms. Don't be bitter. We all make mistakes in life and learning from these will make us a better human. Be humble and admit when we did wrong. No one is perfect but that is definitely not a reason Not to improve ourselves.
Life is too short, let's grow up.

Pushing 50: love is a many-splendored thing

Make a point to be kind to at least two persons in a day.
And make sure one of them is yourself.
Your worth doesn't depend on what others do or don't do to you,
or for you.
Be kind and love yourself more.
Know your own worth.

Pushing 50: and nothing but the TRUTH

The truth hurts. But i would rather be told the truth and hurt rather than to be lied to and live in the oblivion. Unaware of being the clown and being laughed at.
I refuse to be a full time Joker.

Pushing 50: Till Death Do Us Part

I was 16 when i first met this woman. 30 solid years ago. Yonks! A wonderful person, crazy and wacky most times. She always and always has this insanely strong faith in me. Whenever I've broken my wings she would push me at the edge and shout "FLY! you CAN do it!" True enough, it works every time!
Ana, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I love you, you old fart!
